dps_Drawing and Painting Strategies
By Dominique Lämmli, MAF students and guests | Zurich University of the Arts, MA Fine Arts.
Currently,
the notions of drawing and painting are undergoing a re-categorisation. For
centuries drawing and painting have been technically highly diverse. This
diversity has broadened immensely during the last hundred
year—technically as well as medial. “DPS_DRAWING & PAINTING
STRATEGIES” invites artists to talk about their strategies from a
practical point of view. The program is conducted together with
galleries and institutions.

Praxisseminar “Kunst und Nicht-Kunst im Kunstkontext”
By Jens Badura | Dominique Lämmli | Philip Matesic | Zurich University of the Arts, MA Fine Arts.
Kunstkontexte
soll.
Freitag 27.2. 10 – 13 Uhr | Dienstag 3.3. 10 – 13 Uhr |

Don’t Draw the Line: Strategies of Painting and Drawing

Günzburger, moderation: Daniel Morgenthaler | Zurich University of the
Arts, MA Fine Arts and Häusler Contemporary Zurich.Venue: Galerie
Häusler Contemporary, Stampfenbachstrasse 59, 8006 Zurich.
In the
past decades, contemporary art’s cross-media practice led to an enormous
extension of the notions of “drawing” and “painting”. Various media and
techniques are used to outline different contents. From a practical
point of view, it is most interesting to know how and why artists apply
certain strategies of drawing and painting. In short presentations and
in conversation with Daniel Morgenthaler, Koka Ramishvili, Claudia Comte
and Michael Günzburger will reflect on these aspects of their work.
